My favourite part of this task was learning that it takes years to grow a kauri tree.

Term 2 assembly

We were doing an Assembly about the three little pigs the real story! I really loved doing this assembly. My favourite part of it was all the sound effects!

My te reo maori comic strip.

W.A.L.T we are learning to ask , reply  and translate  qustions  in Te reo maori.
I found this task really fun beause we  got to add in cool little charecters into our animations and we got to use te reo Maori. The most inprotant part was getting the Maori correct!

On Friday, 29th of March my class Te Kauru and Te Manga went snorkelling at Perehape Bay. We went snorkelling with Isabel, it was so cool because my group got to go first out of all the groups. When we got ready I had to have flippers, a wetsuit and a mask, then we got into our wetsuit and chose our flippers, put toothpaste in our goggles and we were off ready to go to the water. SPLASH! We were in. All of a sudden I couldn’t touch the bottom and I saw lots of seaweed. Then my buddy Manaia took a big breath and went straight down under us. Pop! up she came again, it was really funny because we all kept on bumping into each other when we came up from dolphin diving. Then all of a sudden Manaia was saying that she saw a parore, but I said you wouldn’t be able to see one here because they only live at Matai Bay. Then l saw for myself because she showed me the parore. We carried on a little bit then I saw lots of parore. Isabelle blew her whistle once and told us to try to find a golf ball sponge, golf ball sponges look like an orangey yellow sort of sponge with little tentacle-like arms which looks quite strange! AAAHHH!!! Something pinched me it was a floating crab but it really hurt, then the three whistle command went and then she just told us to look carefully to try to find some more different fish and some more golf ball sponges. I said I’ve seen one of the golf ball sponges it looks very strange, then we had to turn around and head back to shore. Fair enough though because my legs were aching.

Dear Isabel, I really appreciate your time that you have spent with my class and Te manga. The time that you have spent with us really taught me something new. Thank you for also taking us snorkeling at Perehape bay. My highlight of the day was seeing a golf ball sponge and a poare. Golf ball sponges look really cool but very strange because they had little arms, I thought they would munch you UP Into pieces!! Thank you again for your time that you spent with us. The trip was awesome and I will always remember that trip.

The thing that was really challenging was trying to solve 17x4 but then I found out the answer.

Poputaltion I know that there is at least 600,000 bottlenose dolphins around the world Here are some countries that have a lot of bottlenose dolphins around them Japan, southern california, Australia and Chile.

 Habitat The bottlenose dolphin is most likely to stay in tropical waters, like bays and lagoons and sometimes large rivers. Even though the bottlenose dolphins are warm blooded, when they go into cold water they use there layer of fat called blubber.

 Diet When these dolphins feel hungry they have a snack on these animals squid, fish, shrimp and kingfish. I still don’t know how the kingfish would be able to be swallowed by the bottlenose dolphin. An adult dolphin can sometimes eat 15-30 pounds of food each day.

 Predators The worst predator that the bottlenose dolphin gets eaten by would probably be the killer whale along with the bull shark. Breeding The bottlenose dolphin takes twelve months to grow a full grown baby and it takes three years between birth they carry one baby at a time. lots of them breed 32 km away from shore.

My class went to Opua wharf on a marvelous ship in Paihia. I went on a little emergency boat, bam we were off. I thought this would be the end of my life. I finally got used to the rapid fast boat and we zoomed around ahhhhhhh.I felt incredibly sore being hit by the bolting water coming out of the fire hose. A harsh salty taste brewed up in my mouth, wowwww! All of a sudden we stopped. Was that it?

W.A.L.T to do a mushroom float with ronda.

I found it easy because you just have to tuck into a ball and then you should be floating.

One of the techniques we learnt was the mushroom float. It is where you put your feet on your bum and tuck your head in your knees and you should float. We also learnt if you blow it will make you sink down to the bottom.

WALT in class we made a slide about ourselfs.

I found this really easy because I didn't have to think what to write because it was all about myself!!
